We proudly apply AkzoNobel AwlGrip finishes to make your Yacht better than new. Awlgrip Topcoat is a premium quality polyurethane high gloss finish, formulated to deliver a great appearance combined with excellent chemical resistance and hardness. The factory Gelcoat that wastes your time with cleaning and waxing can be a thing of the past. Gelcoat contains no UV inhibitors, requiring you to wax it often. The wax is like sunscreen, miss it and get burned with oxidation. AwlGrip products require minimal maintenance and will look shiny for many years, increasing the beauty and value of your investment.
If Gelcoat is what you want- then yes, we will do that. We can repair gelcoat, compound and wax gelcoat, and even gelcoat your entire hull.
Our repairs are done with Epoxy, which is 70% stronger than the polyester or vinyl ester that your Yacht was originally built with, meaning you will have a worry-free repair that will not fail on its own. We layer up a laminate schedule appropriate for your hull, using biaxial, triaxial, chop and woven roving as required to meet the structural demands of your hull repair.
